Winners of the 3rd edition PNAM 2015

Last Friday, June 19th, took place in the Main Hall of the Theatre of Bolhão, Porto, the delivery of the PNAM 2015, the National Prize for Architecture in Wood, destined to Portuguese architects with wooden constructions, an award that aims to promote wood construction in the Portuguese architecture.
Among the 42 works received to tender and, in the words of jury president, Luís Rebelo de Andrade, a "fairly high level" by all participants, CASA RV, located in Vila Nova de Gaia, in the North of Portugal, by architects Marta Rocha and Fabien Vacelet, was honored to receive the prize in this its third edition.
Marta Rocha received from the hands of the Head of the Sonae Indústria the prize money and the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation presented to the winning the trophy Siza Vieira designed exclusively for this award.

The prize awarding session also awarded two extraordinary praise votes to Cabanas no Rio, by Manuel and Francisco Aires Mateus, and Chapel Tree of Life, by Cerejeira Fontes Arquitectos.

Two other projects received honorable mentions, Honorable Mention for significant and innovative incorporation of wood products was assigned to Casa Celeiro, by Inês Brandão, and Honorable Mention Structural Quality of the Work to the Equestrian Centre by Carlos Castanheira.

After the ceremony it was open the exhibition of the 17 selected works for catalog which will soon to the São Bento Station of Porto Metro.
