A lot of lumps of concrete are dug out. Because there is a hole with the right and left same position of the courtyard, and eyes penetrate it, a state of the inside can be seen from the neighborhood.

Carré Seine by Pietri Architectes demonstrates the use of unusual housing techniques to meet demanding regulation specifications.

Small in size, the distinctive character of these homes lies in their high environmental quality and the innovative use of outdoor spaces, which are detached from the façade to form zinc “boxes” oriented towards the views and sunlight.

The house was placed in a forest clearing on a plateau high up on a hillside offering beautiful vistas to rolling agricultural valleys and distant mountains. 

Taking cues from its bucolic environment, this architecture is defined and modulated by the natural views, sunlight and the topography of the site. 

The architecture project by Nuno Ladeiro and Marco Martins, is inserted in the urban core of Vila Nova de Tazem, a small country town near Serra da Estrela, in the north of Portugal, which is characterized by a consolidated urban fabric, whose predominant characteristics are buildings of 2 and 3 floors for residential.
