The project maximized use of local resources including workers and affordable local materials. With this situation, local bamboo and stonework was selected to be the main materials of the building.

To adapt to the tropical monsoon climate and a more temperate but still hot dry season, the building is composed by 8 separate stone buildings and a open air bamboo dining hall to supply both contained air-conditioned rooms and comfortable exterior dining. 

The residence, located in Greenfield Park, in a suburb close to Montreal, Canada, is a sculptural composition that spreads in simple geometrical forms.

The fluidity of the plan, the simplicity of lines, the omnipresence of white and well-assembled materials celebrate the dynamism of simple geometrical forms that contribute to the sculptural effect. 

Dalarna Media Library is organized as a ’spiral of knowledge’ identifying a new library culture that stages a wide range of experiences and inspiration.

The natural terrain of the surrounding landscape continues as a ramp that spirals up through the central atrium of the library - its heart - where all search of information and orientation take place.

A community space in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, designed by local firm a21studio and built using recycled materials and colourful fabric has just been named World Building of the Year 2014 at the World Architecture Festival in Singapore.

The Chapel is a community space for the youth in a new urban area, adaptable to multiple operations.

The house is located on the east coast of New Zealand’s North Island, an hour’s drive north of Auckland. The site sits within a natural dune zone adjacent a long white sand beach. 

The house is nested into the dunes - the lower level is almost completely hidden by its sunken integration into the landscape.
