The house was placed in a forest clearing on a plateau high up on a hillside offering beautiful vistas to rolling agricultural valleys and distant mountains. 

Taking cues from its bucolic environment, this architecture is defined and modulated by the natural views, sunlight and the topography of the site. 

A bold, minimalist renovation of a pool house in Toronto is designed to be multifunctional, the open-space interiors can easily transform from pool house to guesthouse to entertainment space to work studio to event space.

Both the outdoor and indoor spaces subtly riffs on its mid-century modern aesthetic, creating an environment that’s simple in its orientation and rich in details and textures.

A lot of lumps of concrete are dug out. Because there is a hole with the right and left same position of the courtyard, and eyes penetrate it, a state of the inside can be seen from the neighborhood.

This project involved the expansion of a spacious single-story Outremont residence built in the 1960s.

Situated on a site with a steep incline and majestic view, the two-floor expansion was designed to offer a generous window on the horizon.

Dalarna Media Library is organized as a ’spiral of knowledge’ identifying a new library culture that stages a wide range of experiences and inspiration.

The natural terrain of the surrounding landscape continues as a ramp that spirals up through the central atrium of the library - its heart - where all search of information and orientation take place.
