Mirrors are incredible objects. They reflect a light ray in a particular direction and create different perceptions of the real world. They can also acquire various shapes: flat, convex and concave.

In addition to the everyday uses, mirrors began to be explored by artists for its plethora of possibilities.

The London-based sculptor and draughtsman Arran Gregory created wonderful pieces inspired by the beasts of nature, using pieces of mirror in its most variable forms.

What if you were to walk down the street and see people hanging on the facades of a building, over the Windows and doors? With mirrors and a touch of madness can create very creative and even extravagant optical illusions!

The Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich, built in London, the façade for the project Beyond House, Barbican Theatre, horizontally with a wall of mirrors supported this construction and erected vertically to reflect its facade. Thus, visitors could "hang up" on the door, "climbing walls" or "sit" in Windows ... all this created through the optical illusion!

In northern Sweden, Medelpad forest received installation Clear Cut, artists Joakim Kaminsky and Maria Poll. The pine trees of this forest are used for forestry, limiting the life cycles of 60 years, which led these artists looking to create a connection between the trees and the time. Mirrors straps placed in them to keep the memory of previous generations and, at the same time, represent the cut they all suffer at the end of your cycle. "Who knows if mirrors can absorb the light, colors and smells of this place and save them for the future?"

Ring is a facility built with cubes of mirrors in urban space. The cubes repetition in different positions creates optical effects that alter the perception of space. This setup dynamism interferes with the relationship of passers-by with the walking space between two points of view: the first approach that enhances the surrounding space clipped in rediscovering small sections; and the curiosity to enter the model, noting your image multiplied repeatedly, interspersed with sections of engaging that end in the blue of the sky.
