As we approach Valentine's Day, I invite you to look at your bedroom in order to identify some less favorable situations.

Then I will describe multiple situations I encounter in my visits to various homes in my Feng Shui consulting.

Bedroom ambiance

1 - Did you know that we can use decoration and Feng Shui to harmonize a couple with opposite energies? In my Feng Shui consultations I use ki of 9 stars - a very practical method where we have nine types of energy patterns. Thus we have the numbers 3 and 4 associated with Tree energy, the number 9, associated with Fire energy, the numbers 2, 5 and 8, associated with Earth energy and the numbers 6 and 7 belonging to Metal energy. Your ki depends on your date of birth. Suppose that a couple has opposite energies, the wife energy is fire and the husband is water. In the cycle of five elements the Tree energy harmonizes and balances the opposing energies. So in the couple's bedroom decor we go for Tree energy, choosing green or blue colors for the curtains, bedspread and pillows.

In a Feng Shui consultation, each case is different and must work on a symbolic basis and do a careful and detailed observation of each reality and space.

To harmonize and balance our home, do not forget to personalize the space, using intuition, creativity and above all declutter and apply an intention for the changes you will make.

2 - What is the decor of your bedroom like? Always choose matching bedside tables, lamps and carpets, in symbolic terms the bed and bedside tables set is the relationship of the couple. Choose frames with positive images or frame photos of the couple. Prefer soft colors for decoration, such as light yellow, green, blue, pink, white or pastel colors. Make sure you always put some red detail to encourage Fire energy.

3 - If you are designing your home, the bedroom is facing which direction? Best directions or sectors of the house for a master bedroom are: South, South West and North West. The energy of the Southwest sector increases the relationships, the energy of Western values pleasure, South energy encourages passion and the energy of the Northwest contributes to a more stable relationship.

4 - How is the bed placed in your bedroom? Ideally, the bed should be positioned in order to avoid standing with the feet opposite the door. And when we're lying in bed we should be able to see who enters the room. Go for wooden beds instead of metal. Do not choose beds with storage underneath. If so, keep it only with clean and frequently used clothing.

5 - Do you have mirrors in front or beside the bed? Most of the consultations I do, when I see mirrored wardrobe doors, the couple sleeps badly or have insomnias. If you have fitted wardrobes with mirrored doors, line the doors with decorative paper.

In a bedroom you must not place mirrors opposite the bed.

6 – Is your bed against a wall? Another important condition is that the bed must be accessible from both sides, namely, the headboard should be against a wall and allow passage on each side.

7 - Do you keep stuff under the bed? Keeping stuff, boxes full of clothes and shoes under the bed, can create a stagnant chi and it is not advisable. And very importantly, never keep memories of the past under the bed. During a consultation I made a few years ago, a lady had drawers under the bed with boxes filed with memories and pictures of her ex-boyfriend ... Of course I drew her attention to the fact that this situation was blocking the energy of relationships.
