Portugal is trendy!
By ArchReady - 08/Oct/2014

The largest fair of Portugal's real estate sector, SIL (Salão Imobiliário de Portugal), is back to the FIL pavilions at Parque das Nações in Lisbon, 8-12 October 2014.

This year's edition has everything to be one of the best of the past few years: "Portugal is in trendy and we must seize this tide."

To Luís Lima, president of strategic council of the event, the SIL appears at a crucial moment.

After a first semester for which there was an increasing importance of foreign investment to our country, already representing approximately 21% of all real estate transactions in this period, this exhibition provides a unique opportunity to showcase the quality and credibility of our industry real estate with those who seek safe alternatives for their investments.

The organization expects 130 exhibitors, 30% more than in 2013, and nearly 40,000 visitors.

As last year, this 17th edition of SIL is focused on attracting foreign investment and the internationalization of the real estate sector, with a strong presence in the CPLP, France and China markets, with days dedicated to investors from each of these markets, underlining the importance of the Program for Residency Investment (Golden Visa) and Fiscal Regime for Non Usual Residents.

Aside from the usual real estate auctions, the fair also offers a space where it will be possible to receive these investors to sell some properties, contributing positively to an upturn in the real estate sector which already begins to be noticed.

Alongside the SIL, until 12th October 2014, are taking place at FIL the Intercasa, the largest indoor and outdoor decoration fair in the country, annually presenting the news in Premium trademarks and national industry, and the LxD – Lisboa Design Show, an event dedicated to design in all its forms of expression which presents the most complete and varied program of lectures, workshops, academies, workshops and fashion shows.
