Exchanging gifts is a remarkable moment over Christmas and no less important than the gift itself is its wrapping.

Sometimes a great gift wrapped in plain paper loses charm and on the other hand a small gift offered in original wrapping can have as much impact and intensifies the thrill of the moment.

Nowadays, with the current economic difficulties the budget for gifts is increasingly reduced, however, we should not overlook this gesture of affection and friendship that causes so many smiles. Even if the present is just a short reminder, you should invest in the wrapping to maintain that moment special, and it can be done in an economical way with your own hands.

The task of wrapping presents is a creative act that can be shared with the family and become fun time.

Offering a gift with our personal touch, which has our commitment and affection and make the other person smile, can be a pleasure for us... and demonstration of friendship for those who receive it!

Craft paper is always a good option because its strength and versatility allows you to make numerous wrappings using diverse materials for decorations.

A simple wrap made of craft paper adorned with colourful drawstrings or rubber bands, makes a unique and super fun present wrapping.

And if you seek in your sewing box, you will always find forgotten buttons that can serve as a bow ribbon to your gift. You can also make buttons in colourful cardstock!

True flowers fade, but not paper flowers! You can draw and cut flowers in colourful paper and stick them on wrapping craft paper ... under the tree these flowers will last until Christmas!

Also with a craft paper wrapping, you can draw hearts and cut its halves with an x-acto knife and place some colour paper pieces behind them to make fun pop-ups wrappings.

And why not forget about the traditional labels with the name of the person to whom we will offer the present (that we tried to hide many times), writing it clearly visible on the wrapping paper as a paper pattern or decoration! It can be a really practical and pretty idea!

Writing in white on a black paper recalls the old chalkboards which have so strongly marked their comeback as a trend to contemporary homes.

Using old newsprint you can do very interesting wrappings by adding some colour through bows or ribbons.

With some patience and skill we can get to fabulous solutions, using only very simple and low cost materials. Simply interlacing some colourful ribbons is a fun experience for person who does it and very curious and appealing for those who receive the gift!

For smaller objects, we can create little cardboard or paperboard boxes with varied formats, from a common cube to a more unique pyramid. The ornaments can be as different as you like: ribbons, laces, drawings...

And now for a different material, we also suggest fabric wrappings.

You can do it by recycling useless fabrics or provide a double gift, consisting of a handkerchief, a tea towel or a scarf that wraps a gift inside!

Children are the joy of Christmas. And how nice it is to see their smiles when receiving a gift ... looking at the tree in the middle of all gifts, pointing and guessing immediately what theirs are by the colourful paper with funny drawings that fill their eyes with satisfaction. Often, the wrapping paper has more impact than its content and that's why we recommend these creative ideas that will completely thrill your little ones.

A simple white paper wrapping with some crayons replacing a traditional bow will make any child to free their imagination and create their own favourite wrapping paper.

And a gift wrapping with a toy car, a doll or a balloon instead of a bow or ribbon can be quite tempting too...
