Building Trust International recently announced the winners for PLAYscapes, an international design competition that challenged participants from all over the world to propose their ideas to transform neglected city spaces into interactive places of fun for local communities. 

Besides the competition winner, the results include one student category winner, and nine professional category honourable mentions with proposals for cities all over the world, from Melbourne to London, Mumbai or Lisbon.

Futurospective Arquitecture is the first monographic exhibition held in Europe by Sou Fujimoto, who gathers in CCB, Lisbon, approximately 120 models, projects, objects, materials and film from the work of this 41 years old Japanese architect, illustrating his vision of space.

To be visited in Lisbon, at the CCB South Garage, until 17 November 2013.

Architect Susana Ventura is the winner of the 9th edition of the Fernando Távora Award with the proposal "Expedition to an intensive architecture". 

For the jury, the winning proposal "clearly reveals the purpose and consistency in the proposal capable of unifying different geographies and cultures. Referencing distinct architectural objects, proposes a thematic reading capable of building an unexpected narrative. 

The idea of ​​building a public swimming pool floating in the East River came as a consequence of hot summers in New York and the lack of recreational aquatic areas in the city, prevented by the rivers need for treatment and infrastructure.

The project is called + Pool and aims to build a floating pool capable of filtering river water, and provide at the same time a clean, safe and natural environment, where everyone can swim.
