Jimenez Lai, founder and director of the Bureau Spectacular, studio in Chicago, was announced as the winner of the first edition of the Lisbon Triennale Début Award Millennium BCP for young architects.

The Début Award distinguishes young architects and studios under 35 years who develop exceptional work, project practice singular and critical thinking, with the attribution of a cash prize of € 5,000.

Irish architects Sheila O'Donnell and John Tuomey have been named as the 2015 recipients of the Royal Gold Medal, the world’s most prestigious architecture award.

They will be the third husband and wife team to receive the Royal Gold Medal following on from Charles and Ray Eames in 1979 and Michael and Patricia Hopkins in 1994.

In 2013 LFA will become an annual, month-long and citywide exploration of London’s built environment; investigating the importance of architecture and design in London’s success and celebrating the city’s role as a global hub of architectural experimentation, thinking, learning and practice.

The V&A Museum of Childhood’s major 2014-15 exhibition Small Stories: At home in a dolls’ house will reveal the fascinating stories behind some of the UK’s best-loved dolls’ houses.

Through the stories of 12 dolls’ houses from the past 300 years, visitors will be taken on a journey through the history of the home, everyday lives and changing family relationships.

Electrolux has, for the third consecutive year, been ranked as Industry Leader Household Durables in RobecoSAM’s Sustainability Yearbook, an annual rating of companies’ sustainability performance.

Electrolux received the highest rating of the ten companies assessed within the Household Durables industry and consequently also the Gold Class award.
