The studio ARX, twenty years after its last exhibition at Centro Cultural de Belém, returns once again to show a retrospective of its work.

The collective created by the brothers Nuno and José Mateus, a relevant studio in the field of Portuguese Architecture since 1991, is showing their work as if the visitor would be walking through their archives. For these architects, each new project is considered unique, always been regarded from the same starting point, “from zero”. With this assumption, they claim their perspective of innovation.

The exhibition is organized meticulously, highlighting the work models that are part of their collection.

But in this exhibition is not just the end result, the latest model or the constructed building that counts. It is also appreciated the course, the reasoning that led the process to completion. Thus, the visitor is invited to meet the images and other documents that inspired the architects for each project.

But, for those who want to know about the buildings at present, in their daily lives, there are movies to be watched about the day-to-day of five selected projects.

The exhibition may be visited until the 21st of July in CCB’s Garagem Sul.
