Arquiteturas Film Festival

Registrations are now open for the second edition of the Arquiteturas Film Festival 2014, an event that celebrates the meeting between cinema and architecture, to be held in Lisbon, Cinema City Classic Alvalade from 24 to 28 September 2014.

With the purpose of value and give greater visibility to national and international talents of contemporary architecture, Architectures also intends to be a "catalyst" for economic opportunities generated by the intersection of both areas.

Like last year the festival's focus lies on strong narrative storytelling. An interdisciplinary and open challenge, aiming to explore the relations between audiovisual production and architectural practice.

Directors, producers, students, architecture professionals and film makers of all nationalities are invited to submit movies that show a unique perspective regarding the intersection of cinema and architecture: documentaries or fiction, short or long, animation or experimental; formal or informal, serious or funny; with awards from other festivals or fresh out of the handy-cam.

Submissions are accepted till 1st of June.

The filmmakers will be notified by July 15 whether their films were selected or not to participate in the festival.
