By ArchReady - 13/Nov/2013

Lisbon Architecture Triennale 2013’s Education Team and BEEVERYCREATIVE invite students and professionals with skills in 3D modeling to participate in the COMPETITION REAL CITY - BEEUtifull City.

Deadline is 18 November 2013 to submit original and relevant projects and ideas that value public space and act in the particular social reality of Campo de Santa Clara, in Lisbon.

The aim is to develop ideas which operate in an original, relevant and positive way of recovering public space and to seek for intervention possibilities from architecture, design and art, in the complex living network that is the social reality of this particular area. The best proposals for urban interventions will be implemented through 3D printing.

Applicants should develop proposals based on an exchange qualitative process with this territory and its community, finding ways to understand, accentuate, functionalize and integrate with other social, economic and cultural issues. The proposals must operate in context of the surroundings specificities - learning from them in order to build a positive intervention.

The intervention area, Campo de Santa Clara, where Lisbon Architecture Triennale has its headquarters, at Sinel de Cordes Palace, has a patrimonial, historical and cultural legacy which is exemplary and diverse, with some of the most iconic and traditional places in Lisbon.

The prize to be awarded aims to develop the state of the art of 3D home printing technology and to disseminate its use in the creative process of the architect, artist or designer.

The winner project will receive one BEETHEFIRST 3D Home Printer and the 10 selected projects will be printed by BEETHEFIRST and presented in a public ceremony, to be scheduled at Lisbon Architecture Triennale headquarters, Sinel de Cordes Palace, and online in the BEEVERYCREATIVE project’s database for urban intervention BEEutifull City: www.beeverycreative.com.
