Crowdfunding: “Arquitectura à Moda do Porto”
Take part in this scene until 16 July
To promote the quality of Oporto Architecture, Building Pictures, together with Filipa Figueira and Tiago Vieira produce every month a new episode, of significant buildings, built in the last 20 years in Oporto.
The project is called “Arquitectura à Moda do Porto” (a typical Oporto saying that can be translated as a unique style of architecture that can only be found here. Something like "Architecture the Oporto way or Oporto style") which is a 10 episodes series, each one organized under a theme.
The purpose is to show the best architecture of Porto through original short films. Each episode is under a theme that determinate the characteristics explored in each selected building. Rather than shooting the buildings, they are represented through the selected themes, creating a unique vision of the city.
The selected buildings represent the statement of the Portuguese Architects in an international context, not only by “School of Oporto”, but also by a new generation of Portuguese and foreign architects.
This is a different and unique approach to the architecture videos, by connecting themes, images and music, resulting in short, fresh and fun videos, aimed not only for architects but to everyone else who loves architecture.
On Vimeo channel Arquitectura à Moda do Porto you can see the first 6 episodes of the series, under the themes: Light, Stairs, Balconies, Nature, Textures and Doors.
The next four episodes will be under the themes: Windows, Skylights, Patios and Roofs, and the team members are trying to raise funds through a crowdfunding campaign at Indiegogo.
The campaign runs from 16 June to 16 July, and it is open to all who wish to contribute to help covering the costs of production, shooting, post production and have access to better equipment. In exchange for a contribution, all those who help could have their name credited in our videos, a personalized Oporto guided tour, join us on a shooting day, become an actor in our video or even participate in the entire production process.
