Lisboa Open House

After the success of the first edition in 2012, which registered about 13 000 visitors in two days, Lisbon once again welcomes the initiative Open House, an international event with notorious global reach, with 20 participating cities, including Barcelona, London, Rome, New York and Buenos Aires.

Organized by the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, the second edition of Lisbon OPEN HOUSE will be held on 5 and 6 October 2013 with the opening of 60 spaces throughout the city. Spaces of various types, contexts and times that can be visited for free during this week-end through an extensive program of guided walks.

To see and show, opening doors to the existing contemporary architecture, from different authors and many periods from the past, the classics. Many of the spaces are not currently open to visitors, for being unknown or not easily accessible. Unveiling unsuspected qualities as authentic hidden pearls. The selection encompasses architectural heritage featuring the most diverse typologies buildings, such as monuments, private houses, infrastructures gardens, parks and belvederes, from government and municipal buildings, corporate and private properties throughout the city.

It is intended to give opportunity to know eight centuries of this enchanting and colorful city, supported by a rugged topography that hides surprising places.
