By ArchReady - 19/Sep/2013

It’s finally available the new Lisbon Architecture Guide, a bilingual edition, in Portuguese and English, launched last September 17 by A+A Books.

For those who believe architecture is the best way of telling a city history, this book guides us through Lisbon’s last seven decades, with a selection of approximately 200 buildings from the Modern Movement to this day, through Lisbon at the end of Estado Novo, from April 25 (1974) to the democratic stability and Postmodernity from early-80s to mid-90s.

Coordinated by Michel Toussaint and Maria Melo, this edition was considered as Cultural Manifest by the Secretariat of State for Culture and in addition to text and images allusive to all selected works, it also includes orientations for use, references, indexes and location maps.

All selected examples are featured with technical data, critical text, photos and drawings in extent according to its complexity, features or history / critic importance.
