Termoacústico: greater comfort and better environmentFor those looking for solutions to increase comfort at home, artebel® offers a constructive system which combines the Termoacústico block with the forra térmica XPS, designed for covering pillars and beams, correcting thermal bridges, providing excellent thermal and acoustic performance, for more comfortable spaces.
The Termoacústico is a block for thermal and acoustic insulation, as part of a building system designed for simple exterior masonry.
It is a fairly advantageous alternative compared to existing double wall systems with lightweight insulation in the air-gap and single-wall systems with mild exterior insulation, as it allows meeting both thermal and acoustic requirements.

The Termoacústico block is composed of expanded clay Leca for thermal and acoustic insulation, consisting of 11 longitudinal walls separated by 10 air-boxes, whose distribution and dimensions, together with the type of concrete used, allows reduced heat transfer coefficients (U=0,51 W/m2.ºC) high thermal inertia, which in a transfer of energy provides a longer period for the system to reach balance.
It integrates a building system in which thermal bridges (beams, slabs or pillars) are covered with lightweight insulation, EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) or XPS board (Extruded Polystyrene) cut according with the cross section of concrete element to be covered and bonded with cement based adhesives.

Specially designed for simple external walls or in contact with unheated areas, the Termoacústico block can also be applied in partitions between dwellings, stairwells and elevators.

The forra térmica (thermal coating) is a compact laminar concrete element combined with 5cm extruded polystyrene (XPS) with straight cut perimeter.
It features high mechanical strength due to a 2 to 4mm layer, consisting on cement, additive, selected aggregates and fibers, giving it a finish porous texture that improves plastering adhesion.
