The architecture award of greatest relevance has been this month awarded to the Japanese architect Toyo Ito.

The jury's award recognizes him as a creator of timeless buildings, impregnated with a transcendent poetic and spiritual dimension.

The prize giving ceremony will be held on May 29 at the Library and Museum John F. Kennedy in Boston. Interestingly, this building was designed by another Pritzker laureate - Ieoh Ming Pei.
