Portugal is trendy!

The largest fair of Portugal's real estate sector, SIL (Salão Imobiliário de Portugal), along with Intercasa and LxD – Lisboa Design Show are back to the FIL pavilions at Parque das Nações in Lisbon, 8-12 October 2014.

This year's edition has everything to be one of the best of the past few years: "Portugal is in trendy and we must seize this tide."

After the announcement of the winner building last month, the granting ceremony of the 13th edition of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award will take place in 7th of June presenting the awards to the prize winner: Harpa Reykjavik Concert Hall and Conference Centre by Henning Larsen Architects, Studio Olafur Eliasson, and Batteríið Architects.

FAD Awards 2014 - Architecture and Interior Design

Applications until 29 January

The scope of the FAD AWARDS 2014 covers the Iberian Peninsula and the islands belonging to Spain and Portugal. All works finished between 1 January and 31 December 2013 can apply in the following categories: Architecture, Interior Design, City and Landscape, and Temporary Interventions.

The deadline for the proposed works and presentation of the relevant material to the FAD AWARDS 2014 on this call will end at 12:00 pm on 29 January 2014.

World Architecture Festival 2013

Find out the winners

The World Architecture Festival 2013 held 2-4 October in Singapore, brought together over 2,000 participants from 68 countries for conferences, parties and seminars from some of the world's best-known architects.

At the end, were announced the winners in each of the 30 categories, culminating in the selection of the Building of the Year (World Building of the Year), followed by a lecture by architect Sou Fujimoto.
