It was unveiled this week one of the greatest works of public art ever.

It is the largest and most impressive work of the Brazilian identical twin brothers Octavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, commonly known as OSGEMEOS, (the twins), organized by the Vancouver Biennale, in Canada, and consists of six gigantic painted silos with 20m high, on a 360 degrees surface, covering an area of over 2.000m².

The Board of Directors of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) awarded the 2015 AIA Gold Medal to Moshe Safdie, whose comprehensive and humane approach to designing public and cultural spaces across the world has touched millions of people and influenced generations of younger architects.

Safdie’s work naturally melds opposing forms - fusing arcs into squares, spheres into cubes, and ovals into rectangles - to create emotionally evocative architecture. 

Registrations are now open for the second edition of the Arquiteturas Film Festival 2014, an event that celebrates the meeting between cinema and architecture, to be held in Lisbon, Cinema City Classic Alvalade from 24 to 28 September 2014.

Submissions are accepted till 1st of June.

Last Friday, June 19^th, took place in the Main Hall of the Theatre of Bolhão, Porto, the delivery of the PNAM 2015, the National Prize for Architecture in Wood, destined to Portuguese architects with wooden constructions, an award that aims to promote wood construction in the Portuguese architecture.

The CASA RV, located in Vila Nova de Gaia, in the North of Portugal, by architects Marta Rocha and Fabien Vacelet, was honored to receive the prize in this its third edition. 

The Saatchi Gallery in London recently played host to the most distinguished figures in architecture and design at theWorld Interiors News Annual Awards ceremony 2014.
