Competition for students, architects and designers
Design submission until March 15, 2015Through the competition DRESS ME UP! the Portuguese brand leader JORDÃO COOLING SYSTEMS aims to reward the most original and innovative ideas, regarding the look of a food exhibitors range, currently manufactured and marketed by the company.
The selected projects will pass to the prototyping phase and the winner will receive a prize of € 2,500.

RIBA and Norman Foster offer one travelling scholarship of £ 6,000The RIBA Norman Foster Travelling Scholarship, generously supported by Lord Foster and Foster + Partners, offers one travelling scholarship of £6,000 to a student of architecture to support international research on a topic and at locations of the student’s choosing.
Álvaro Siza and Souto de Moura’s “Stone Raft”
Installation in front of the Kennedy Center, WashingtonArchitects Eduardo Souto de Moura and Álvaro Siza Vieira are the creators of the installation "Stone Raft" which will be on display during the Iberian contemporary creative work showcase in Washington, next March.
The installation is an initiative of the Art Institute, sponsored by the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD), and will be exposed in front of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the US national cultural center.
Controversial opening of the Philharmonie de Paris
Jean Nouvel says the building is still "unfinished"After eight years of controversy, the Philharmonic of Paris has finally been opened on 14 January 2015, in a VIP event with a ceremony led by President François Hollande.
However, the prestigious French architect Jean Nouvel, winner of the Pritzker Prize in 2008, refused to attend the opening ceremony arguing that the building is still "unfinished".
Mies van der Rohe Award 2015
19 Portuguese nominated projectsA total of 19 Portuguese projects were nominated for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture Mies van der Rohe, released on 16 December.
A total of 420 projects were selected, from 36 countries, most of which coming from Spain, with 35 nominations.
