The perfect appliances for the perfect home

Quality, innovation and design: “The perfect appliances for the perfect home!” – this is the motto from the notoriety campaign that AEG has just launched in Portugal through a partnership with designer Maria Barros.

The designer will work as a specialist consultant for the brand, participating in a few initiatives for consumers, by answering their questions, doubts about decoration, design or choosing the perfect appliance at the AEG website. 

 

Porto’s Alfândega wins international award

Best Congress Centre in Europe

Porto’s Alfândega Congress Centre has been awarded Best Meetings and Conference Centre, Europe in the Business Destinations Travel Awards 2014. 

Recently renovated by Portuguese architect and 2011 Pritzker laureate Eduardo Souto de Moura, the building maintains its original architecture, with shapes and spaces that pleasantly surprise visitors.

London Festival of Architecture 2014

A month-long, city-wide celebration

From 1 to 30 June 2014 the London Festival of Architecture is a month-long, city-wide celebration of architectural experimentation, thinking, learning and practice.

An active programme of architectural installations and interventions provoke questions about the future life of the city and promotes positive change to the city's public realm. 

I.M. Pei honored with career award

UIA Gold Medal 2014

This year, the International Union of Architects (UIA) will award its Gold Medal to the Chinese born American architect, Ieoh Ming Pei.

At the age of 97, this well known architect authored some of the world's most preeminent structures, such as the extension of the Louvre Museum in Paris, with its famous glass pyramid, the Johnson Museum of Art in New York or the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar.
