After the announcement of the winner building last month, the granting ceremony of the 13th edition of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award will take place in 7th of June presenting the awards to the prize winner: Harpa Reykjavik Concert Hall and Conference Centre by Henning Larsen Architects, Studio Olafur Eliasson, and Batteríið Architects.

Designed by award-winning Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2013 will be open to the public from Saturday 8th June and can be visited until 20 October 2013.

Since 2000, the Serpentine Gallery annually invites internationally renowned architects to design a pavilion on the exterior spaces of the gallery, housing a summer cultural program, functioning as an exclusive showcase for contemporary architecture that attracts about 300,000 visitors a year, standing out as one of the 10 world's most visited architecture and design exhibitions.

Architecture at Zero is a competition to promote ZNE (Zero Net Energy) Architecture projects, in other words buildings whose energy needs are fully assured by their own production of electricity through renewable energies.

In 2012 it was proposed the creation of a student residence or an office building for the University of California in Merced.

One of the winning projects was Cactus, developed in the city of Oporto by the team who joins the Japanese Architect Ren Ito.

In a joint organization, Margres and Love Tiles promote, on the 3rd July, the conference "Challenges of Contemporary Architecture and Decoration", with the participation of two references in Architecture - NLA – Nuno Leónidas Arquitectos and NL Decoração - and Interior Design - Nini Andrade Silva Atelier.

This conference gathers renowned speakers in a space also a reference in terms of architecture in Portugal: the recently opened Hotel Sana Myriad.
