Fiat 500 Collection by Lapo Elkann

Meritalia and Lapo Elkann are launching an impressive exposition in the Espaço Mínimo store in Lisbon, the Casa Comigo store in Oporto and the Relicário store in Aveiro.
It's a tribute to the Fiat 500 model and it's design applied to couches, tables and other furniture, all across Portugal.

At the same time, Fiat Portugal associated this event to a design competition for the Lusófona University to "dress-up" graphically the two Fiat 500 cars.
The two best works for the "Strip-Tease Design, Despe o Design, Veste o 500" contest will be revealed in the university's campus in Lisbon and Oporto in the 4th and 5th of June.

Strip-Tease Ambient by Giulio Iachetti

Meritalia, a highly regarded italian design brand has come up with a concept that became reality in 1987. Forty five years of work of excelent quality permitted Giulio Meroni, the company's founder, to develop his own work principles. The secret to his success is his determination in associating every furniture piece into pure creativity from the designs onto reality.

Giulio Iacchetti, industrial designer since 1992, distinguishes himself by his works and constant research in new object typologies. One such example is the biodegradable spork projected in a partnership with Matteo Ragni for Moscardino, which awarded him with the "nobel for design", the Compasso d'Oro in 2001.
