Portuguese Architect Inês Lobo is the winner of the 2014 arcVision Prize - Women and Architecture, an international architecture award for female designers, now in its second year.

The 2014 jury consists of 10 women , recognized professionals from different nationalities, and includes some of the most respected and influential names in architecture, as Martha Thorne, director of the Pritzker Prize, and Kazuyo Sejima, winner of the Pritzker Prize in 2010.

Out of the 25 finalists, 6 transcended the competition for the European Prize for Urban Public Spaces.
It was a competition of projects that envisioned equality, plurality and progressive ideas for different European cities.

Designed for the city of Stockholm, Sweden, by the architects C.F. Møller and Dinell Johansson and the consultant Tyréns, this 34-storey building will be the largest structure in the world to be constructed in wood.

The architects ensure that this solution is more sustainable, durable and more resistant to fire than a traditional steel and concrete construction.
