Close, Closer is the name of the 3rd edition of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale which proposes to explore the future role of contemporary architecture as a wide-ranging spatial practice. 

From 12 September to 15 December 2013, a programme of exhibitions, debates, installations and events will explore architecture as an agency for the transformation and design of space. 

The project is called “Arquitectura à Moda do Porto” which is a 10 episodes series, each one organized under a theme.

The purpose is to show the best architecture of Porto through original short films. Each episode is under a theme that determinate the characteristics explored in each selected building. 

The year starts in June - The Portuguese Design Year, a government initiative that promotes and divulges portuguese designs around the world!

National production and culture stole the spotlight in the Government Budget of 2014 as soon as this initiative was introduced.
Quoting the document - "Design shall be our prime asset to be promoted internationally in 2014."

The first urban beach in Lisbon just opened, making the Garden of Torel the newest attraction point in the city, during the entire the month of August, for residents and tourists providing many events and activities, with music and outdoor cinema, always with free entrance.

Professionals related to construction, more specifically to rehabilitation operations, can now benefit from a new official reference document under the new Exceptional Regime for Urban Rehabilitation (RERU).

The "Practical Guide for the Exceptional Regime for Urban Rehabilitation" is available for online consultation and download.
