ARX Exhibition in LisbonThe studio ARX, twenty years after its last exhibition at Centro Cultural de Belém, returns once again to show a retrospective of its work.
The collective created by the brothers Nuno and José Mateus, a relevant studio in the field of Portuguese Architecture since 1991, is showing their work as if the visitor would be walking through their archives.

Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe Award 2013The Landscape Architect Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles was distinguished with Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe Award on the 10th April by the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) on the first day of the World Congress, Auckland (New Zealand), where the President of the Portuguese Association of Landscape Architects (APAP) - Landscape Architect Miguel Reis Braula - represented Professor Ribeiro Telles, by making a lecture written by the winner.
Nobel Center in Stockholm
12 Architects SelectedThe Nobel Foundation announced the architects that will be invited to participate in the competition to design its new home, the NobelCenter in Blasieholmen, Stockholm.
From a total of more than 140 architects considered by a specially appointed evaluation committee, 12 were selected "for their projects and artistic qualities, and also the experience of working in complex urban environments."

Pritzker Prize 2013The architecture award of greatest relevance has been this month awarded to the Japanese architect Toyo Ito.
The jury's award recognizes him as a creator of timeless buildings, impregnated with a transcendent poetic and spiritual dimension.

Corvo seeking energetic autonomyThe first phase of replacing butane gas consumption by solar panels and heat pumps in 37 houses on the island of Corvo in Azores, has been completed.
This initiative will enable a reduction of energy costs of each inhabitant and also reduce the costs that the Government behaves with the transportation of gas tanks between Ponta Delgada and Corvo.
