Small Spaces?
Increase the sense of space in every roomIf you live or work in a small space and search solutions not involving expansion works or even a move, here are a few tips to maximize the sense of space and take advantage of every corner.

# 1 Focus on the Essential
In a small room, the last thing you should do is to accumulate things that you don’t use and only occupy space and add confusion. Begin by discard everything you no longer need and make a selective cleaning, keeping only the essential elements.

# 2 Get Organized
Bookcases, cabinets and shelves are always a good option to organize and decorate small rooms. Why not take advantage of every available space by opting for shelves up to the ceiling or above doors? Another great option is to use multipurpose furniture like benches or tables with storage underneath, or even ladders that can provide storage while they are not being used.

# 3 Spread the Light
A space will look larger if it's well lit. Avoid covering windows with dark and heavy elements and choose light and translucent fabrics for curtains or screens that will help to disseminate and take full advantage of natural lighting. Light colors and shiny or transparent materials helps reflecting and diffusing light throughout space. Add different kinds of artificial lightning, floor, ceiling, wall or table lamps, to create richer and more versatile environments.

# 4 Extend
Choose light and soft tones for walls and ceilings that allow you to increase the feeling of a room’s extension, leaving hints of color to objects, pictures and details which confer character to your space. Prefer less but large pieces that contribute to a sense of a larger space.
#5 Continuity
Contrasting elements tend to break space. Go for monochromatic and smooth transitions where furniture establishes continuity with other elements. Suspended pieces, hollow module shelves, mirrors or translucent elements confer a visual continuity of space and can be a good solution to create distinct areas in small spaces.
