2014 FIFA WORLD CUP - Symbolic Structure
International competition[AC-CA] website is launching an international competition for an iconic structure that will represent the 2014 FIFA World Cup to take place in 2014 in Rio de Janeiro.
The piece would be placed in Lapa neighborhood during the cup, which will take place from 12th of June to the 13th of July 2014.

CVDB ArquitectosBraamcamp Freire Secondary School, in Pontinha, was voted the best school building in WAN Award, presented by World Architecture News.
The building was designed by the architects Cristina Verissimo and Diogo Burnay that, under the Modernisation of Secondary Schools Programme, transformed a building composed of several pavilions in a single volume.
Eduardo Souto de Moura
2013 Wolf PrizeThe Portuguese architect Eduardo Souto de Moura was awarded the Wolf Prize for Architecture last Sunday, May the 5th, at the Israeli Parliament in a ceremony attended by President Shimon Peres.
Following Álvaro Siza Vieira, who won the same prize in 2001, Eduardo Souto de Moura is the second Portuguese to receive this award which also honored personalities related to Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Agriculture.
