Antarctic Station
A protection and meeting place for the production of scientific knowledgeIn February 2012 a fire destroyed the Brazilian Comandante Ferraz Station in the Antarctic. In order to rebuild this station, which serves as a basis for environmental scientific research, in particular for the study of climate change, the Brazilian Navy launched a competition.
The winner was announced last April 15th: the Studio 41 from Curitiba.
LEGO Museum
Images: BIG / DAC by Jakob GalltIt was announced the team that will develop the architectural and engineering projects, as well as the exhibition space, for the LEGO museum to be built in Billund, Denmark.
Unsurprisingly the Danish studio BIG was chosen. Who better than BIG to do it? This studio had already thrilled the fans of the brand when using LEGO bricks as the concept for a multipurpose building in Copenhagen. They even used LEGO bricks to build the model that was showed at the Storefront for Art and Architecture exhibition.
